OnePlus Watch 2 users get new software update

The OnePlus Watch 2 was first introduced in February of this year at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, and it was then made available in a few global regions, including India. The smartwatch was first available in Black Steel and Radiant Steel hues. In April, a third color optionโ€”Nordic Blueโ€”that was only available in Europe was added.

Due to its dual-engine construction, the watch can run two different operating systems. According to a recent report, OnePlus 2 owners are reportedly receiving a software upgrade that brings two new apps in addition to other modifications.

Relax and Barometer are two new apps that OnePlus is bringing to the OnePlus Watch 2 with the A.94 update, according to a report from Android Authority. The Barometer app allows users to view atmospheric pressure, while the Relax app is supposed to assist with guided breathing.

The A.94 update for the OnePlus Watch 2 is said to ensure a more seamless user experience, according to the source familiar with the development. This includes improved data presentation during workouts, more support for the Music Controller by swiping left during a workout, and support for disabling the “Tap to wake” feature.

The Phone application in Power Saver mode is rumored to get a number of new capabilities with this update, including the ability to view contacts, favorite contacts, and view call logs. It is also stated that users of the OnePlus Watch 2 would have a better watch face removal process with this update. It is reported that the update improves a few fitness and health algorithms on the wristwatch in addition to resolving other known bugs.

In some European areas, the OnePlus Watch 2 is priced at EUR 329, or approximately Rs. 29,400. In India, on the other hand, it is priced at Rs. 24,999. The watch has a circular 1.43-inch AMOLED screen and is equipped with BES2700 and Snapdragon W5 chipsets. It has support for both RTOS and Wear OS 4.

It boasts a military-grade MIL-STD-810H construction and an IP68 designation for dust and splash protection. It works with Google Health Connect services supported by the OHealth app. According to the manufacturer, the watch’s battery may last up to 48 hours when used heavily, 100 hours when using Smart Mode, and 12 days while using Power Saver mode.
