Journalist Dheeraj Kumar recently sat down with Sandeep Singh, the founder of Bukalo India Private Limited., to discuss the journey of his company and the vision behind its success.
Dheeraj Kumar: Sandeep, thank you for taking the time to talk with me. Let’s start with the beginning. What inspired you to start Bukalo?
Sandeep Singh: Thank you, Dheeraj. The idea for Bukalo came from my personal journey in fitness and health. I noticed a gap in the market for genuine, high-quality supplements in India. Many products were either too expensive or didn’t meet quality standards. I wanted to create a brand that people could trust.
Dheeraj Kumar: Bukalo has grown significantly since its inception. Can you tell us more about the early days and some of the challenges you faced?
Sandeep Singh: The early days were tough, as they are with any new venture. Building trust with our customers was a significant challenge. We focused on transparency and quality from the start, ensuring that our products met the highest standards. We also invested in educating our customers about the benefits and proper use of supplements.
Dheeraj Kumar: Today, Bukalo is known for a wide range of brands like GXN and Daily Scoop. How did these brands come into being?
Sandeep Singh: GXN, or Greenex Nutrition, was created to provide authentic sports nutrition supplements. We wanted to cater to health enthusiasts who are serious about their fitness. Daily Scoop, on the other hand, offers a more varied range of health products suitable for everyday use. Both brands were born out of a desire to meet the different needs of our customers.
Dheeraj Kumar: Bukalo also partners with international brands. Could you explain how these partnerships came about?
Sandeep Singh: Yes, we are the exclusive partner in India for several international brands, including PVL from Canada, Hypper Nation from Australia, and HealthER. These partnerships were formed to bring the best global products to Indian consumers. We chose brands that share our commitment to quality and innovation.
Dheeraj Kumar: You mentioned quality a few times. How does Bukalo ensure the quality of its products?
Sandeep Singh: Quality is at the core of everything we do. We source the best ingredients and adhere to strict manufacturing processes. Each product undergoes rigorous testing before it reaches the market. This ensures that our customers get safe and effective supplements.
Dheeraj Kumar: What are some of the most popular products Bukalo offers today?
Sandeep Singh: Some of our most popular products come from our own brands, GXN and Daily Scoop. We also see a lot of interest in the products from our international partners like MusclePharm, GAT Sports, and One Science Nutrition. These brands have built a strong reputation worldwide, and our customers trust them.
Dheeraj Kumar: Looking ahead, what are your plans for Bukalo?
Sandeep Singh: Our focus is on continuous improvement and innovation. We want to expand our product range and reach more customers. We are also looking at more partnerships to bring even better products to the Indian market. Ultimately, our goal is to support people in their health and fitness journeys as best as we can.
