Channaram’s Focuses on Sustainability with “Farm to Plate” Initiative

Channaram’s

channaram’s has emerged as a brand committed to building a more responsible supply chain as sustainability becomes a growing concern in India’s food industry. Founded in 2022 by Abhinav Aggarwal, this Jaipur-based company has quickly gained recognition for its sweets and namkeen products. The company’s CEO, Gurjeet Singh Ratta, has played a crucial role in guiding the brand towards a sustainable business model through its “Farm to Plate” initiative.

The “Farm to Plate” initiative focuses on creating a direct link between farmers and consumers. Channaram’s works with local farmers, supplying them with high-quality seeds, such as black gram varieties (GNG1581, GNG1958) and wheat strains (Raj1482, DBW372), that are best suited for the production of Besan and wheat flour. In return, the farmers commit to following best practices in cultivation to ensure a sustainable and quality-driven supply chain.

channaram’s fully automated production facility in Sri Ganganagar processes these raw materials to produce high-quality products that meet the needs of the modern Indian consumer. By maintaining close relationships with farmers and investing in advanced food processing technology, Channaram’s ensures that its products maintain their authenticity while adhering to strict quality and hygiene standards.

The company’s vision is to build a value-added chain that benefits not just consumers but the entire community involved in the production process. By promoting sustainable farming practices and offering a buy-back system for the crops grown by local farmers, Channaram’s aims to create a system where both the producers and consumers benefit.

Channaram’s is also looking to expand its range of products and distribution channels, making its high-quality sweets and snacks available to a wider audience, both within India and internationally.
